I chose to study Level 2 Professional Cookery at Weston College due to my passion for cooking and preference for practical learning. Highlights include gaining hands-on industry experience at local events and having creative freedom in the kitchen.
The support from the staff was incredible, especially my tutor, who ensured we had the guidance needed while keeping the work fun. The facilities are exceptional, providing a realistic experience of professional kitchens and cafés.
I worked as front-of-house staff, learning in a non-stressful environment, and had the opportunity to assist a Michelin-starred head chef. After college, I plan to travel and work abroad, eventually owning my own food business.
If you love cooking and practical learning, I highly recommend this course. The staff provide excellent support, and you don't need to be extremely academic to succeed.
