Media Broadcast and Production, T Level
Level 3
This new and exciting programme is specially designed for aspiring Media Professionals, Film Makers, Advertisers & Marketers, Broadcasters, and Print and Online Journalists.
You'll acquire an array of skills including planning, video production, preparing and generating media assets, assembling, editing and finalising professional products. You will also gain skills in photography, graphic design, audio production, digital marketing, & brand identity - all underpinned by the essential foundations of the Media Broadcast.
We regularly invite industry specialists to join us for workshops and lectures and offer unforgettable trips, including Los Angeles, London, Virgin Radio, BBC Cardiff and Bottleyard Studios to keep your passion growing. We also provide you with the opportunity to work with real-life clients and engage in a work placement.
This two-year qualification has been designed to ensure you have a vast range of skills that meet the demands of the media and business sector.

Assessment Method
A variety of assessment methods will be used to develop relevant skills in preparation for a career in the media broadcast and production sector including Individual and group projects, essays, presentations and Examinations. The qualification overall is assessed as follows:

Core Component – Written Examination and Employer Set Project (30%)

Occupational specialism Component – Content Creation & Production (70%)
You will also undertake minimum of 315 hours of relevant work experience within an industry environment alongside your studies to allow you to experience and develop your skills in the industry.
Future Opportunities
The Media broadcast and Production T Level course is the equivalent to 3 A levels which allows you to choose from a range of progression routes such as University, Apprenticeship or employment.
You can progress onto BA (Hons) Film and Media Arts Production at University Centre Weston or other media related degrees at a different university.
Example career pathways include Media Researcher, Camera operator, Audio/Visual Technician. TV director, editor or producer, journalist, and much more.

Entry Requirements
To secure a place on the course, you will need 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths.
You will also be required to attend an interview, where all aspects of the study programme will be discussed.
