What Does This Course Involve?
This apprenticeship offers a well-rounded experience, combining practical work with theoretical learning. You’ll get the opportunity to:

Assessment Method
Your skills and knowledge will be assessed through two main methods:

Practical Observation: Demonstrate your abilities in a real work environment or in a suitable environment away from the work environment, where you'll be observed applying what you've learned.

Professional Discussion: Engage in a discussion that assesses your knowledge, skills, and behaviours, informed by a reflective portfolio you’ll develop throughout the course.
Future Opportunities
Upon completing the Engineering Operative Apprenticeship (Level 2), you’ll be well-positioned to advance in your engineering career.
You could progress to a Level 3 Apprenticeship, depending on your employer's needs, or move into roles such as an Engineering Technician. This apprenticeship lays a strong foundation, whether you want to continue studying or step directly into the engineering workforce.
Entry Requirements
To join this apprenticeship, you’ll need to meet one of the following requirements:
Achieve a minimum of Level 1 in initial assessments or already hold GCSEs at grades A-C (or 9-4).
If you don't have Level 1 in English and maths, you’ll need to achieve this and take the test for Level 2 before your endpoint assessment.
For those with an education, health, and care plan, Entry Level 3 in English and maths is required. British Sign Language is accepted as an alternative for those whose primary language it is.
