Health and Social Care Bootcamp
Our new Health and Social Care Bootcamp is designed for individuals aspiring to enter a career in Adult Social Care. Developed in collaboration with employers, this course equips participants with the essential knowledge and skills needed to secure their first role in health and social care.
Throughout the program, you will attend masterclasses led by industry experts on key topics such as:

Dementia care

End of life care

Infection prevention and control

Manual handling
-
Neurodiversity
The course aligns with the Care Certificate framework, giving you a strong foundation for your induction into your new role. Upon completion, you will be guaranteed an interview opportunity.
Course Duration - 4 Weeks- Monday- Friday 9:30-14:30
Delivery -The majority of this course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams. Therefore, participants will need access to a suitable device, as phones and tablets will not be compatible.
Face-to-Face Sessions: Over the 4-week course, there will be three in-person sessions held at our Health and Active Living Skills Centre in Weston-Super-Mare. These days will offer hands-on, face-to-face learning opportunities.

Entry Requirements

Age- 19+ (Learners must be 19 by the 31st of August 2024 to be eligible for Bootcamp Funding 24/25 Academic Year)

Must live within the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) which is:

Bath & North East Somerset Bristol and South Gloucestershire North Somerset

Level 1 English in reading and writing

Learners will need access to a computer or laptop for the online sessions, phones or tablets will not be suitable.
