FREE BOOTCAMPS - Train to become a Coder or a Data Analyst

We’re offering two FREE Digital Skills Bootcamps, which will give you the opportunity to learn the skills needed by employers, to become a Coder or a Data Analyst – we can also help you get an interview with a local employer looking for these skills!

Previous Weston College Bootcamp students have gone on to secure employment in the following roles: Junior IT Analysts, Digital Support Officers, Technical Analysts, IT Support Apprentices, IT Solutions Apprentices, BI Data Analyst Apprentices and Junior Developers.

This fantastic opportunity is part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs, for people based in the West of England.

How will these Bootcamps be delivered?

Course delivery will comprise of one tutor-led session on a Monday (9am-5pm) in Bristol and one online session on a Wednesday evening (5-9pm). The programmes will be delivered by our experienced Computing and Digital Technologies lecturing team.

How long will the Bootcamps last?

The Bootcamps will be one day per week face-to-face in Bristol (Monday), and one evening per week online (Wednesday), over 12 weeks.

Where is the Bristol Training Institute?

The new Bristol Training Institute open premises in the heart of the city centre at 12 Colston Avenue (BS1 4UH), the former office of the Bristol Law Society.

Are the Bootcamps for beginners?

The courses will require a level of competency and our team will establish your skill level prior to joining the course. Following an initial assessment it may be recommended that you join a transition programme to prepare for future Bootcamp delivery dates.

Will I receive a qualification?

You will have the opportunity to gain industry recognised qualifications at the end of your course in partnership with either Microsoft or Cisco, accelerating your employment prospects.

Will the Bootcamps prepare me for employment within this sector?

The courses are designed to provide skills which are in demand by employers across a wide range of industry sectors. As part of the course, where appropriate, you will receive support to help prepare you for an interview. Additionally, we will be working with employers to identify relevant job opportunities and interviews.

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Nothing, if you are an individual participant, these Digital Skills Bootcamps are provided free of charge as part of the Government Plan for Jobs initiative.
