Charlie is an outstanding learner, who went above and beyond to achieve results. Whilst always highly committed to his studies, Charlie really flourished in the second year of his music course when his focus shifted more towards live sound engineering and lighting. Charlie demonstrated excellent professionalism and entrepreneurship; qualities he has carried with him and continues to build upon now he is out in the industry.
Charlie exceeded all expectations of industry placement hours gained during his time at Weston College. He was always first to put his name forward for college gigs and festival work experience, rarely missing the opportunity to get stuck in! Having impressed staff from King Sound Reinforcement Ltd at the Creative Arts Festival 2021 he was later head hunted by the company and offered valuable work experience with them throughout the following academic year. He was also given opportunities by Track 21 Touring Ltd, including working with indie rock band The Hoosiers.
Charlie, who won Performance and Production Student of the Year at Celebration of Success 2023, is now working as a Freelance Sound Engineer.
