Jamie

Through Jamie’s journey at the college, he has become even more determined to overcome barriers he may face and develop the skills to enable him to work more independently. Jamie always conducts himself around the college environment and the community in an appropriate, well-mannered, and mature way, thus being an excellent representative of Weston College. 

As part of the Prep for Life course, Jamie completed work experience at the Strawberry Line Cycle Hire in which he impressed the Manager greatly and is now on a Voluntary Placement each Sunday. This has enabled him to further his skills and work towards the Into Work Programme.  

Jamie is also a student Ambassador for the Faculty of inclusive Practice, and in such a role will fairly and maturely represent the views of his peers on the course and advocate for them.  

Jamie is now on his third and final year of the Prep for Life course and is hoping to progress onto the Into Work Programme at Weston College. He also won the Jack Passarelli Award at Celebration of Success 2023.
