“I chose the Business Extended Diploma course because it offered a range of units that gave me an insight into the business world. Also Weston College’s Careers Excellence Hub for Business meant I experienced trips and business opportunities – the international trip to New York was a major highlight of the course as it provided a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see the business world from a different perspective. 

The staff at Weston College are welcoming, approachable, and supportive. Their support has helped me excel in my course and move forward in my education. The facilities at Weston College, including extended opening hours, easy access to computers, and additional workspace, have been very useful for working on assignments and preparing for lessons. 

The course offered additional opportunities such as trips, visits to businesses, and guest lectures, which all provided valuable knowledge and exposure to the business world. I completed work experience at Long Ashton Golf Club, which gave me an insight into different roles within the workplace and helped me understand the working world. 

After Weston College, my next steps are to attend university and study law, with the goal of becoming a criminal lawyer. I feel prepared for my next steps because of the support and guidance I received from the College. The lecturers offered individual support, guiding me through the university application process and offering careers advice. 

I would highly recommend the course to anyone interested in business or unsure about their future career path, as it offers opportunities for everyone, and you will be well supported.”
