I was inspired to take this course and pursue a career in plumbing after a conversation with a local plumber who spoke about the use of renewable energy sources as the future for the industry. I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and my highlight was bathroom installation – that really stretched my thinking and helped me build new skills. 

The College offers lots of opportunities to meet local employers which has been a great way to speak to people in the trade and gain industry knowledge. I’m currently choosing between going on to an apprenticeship or an NVQ – my lecturers always offer support and guidance, and they are helping me decide the best route for me to take. Whichever one I choose, I feel confident that the skills I have gained on this course will put me in a great position to progress and learn more.
