University Applications

Whilst at Weston College you can access a range of support to help you with your application for university. Throughout your level 3 programme you will participate in a series of tutorials including: an introduction to higher education and student finance; registering on UCAS and how to write a personal statement.

You can also access 1:1 information, advice and guidance appointments at any level to support with:

  • Researching your options
  • Completing your UCAS application
  • Writing your personal statement
  • Understanding and applying for student finance

Appointments can be made at all of our main campuses.

To enable parents/carers to support with the university and student finance applications, information evenings are held each year to provide the necessary information. Parents/carers of level 3, year one learners are invited to attend a Higher Education Information Evening which covers the benefits of higher education, student finance and alternative progression routes. In year 2 a targeted Student Finance Information Evening is held prior to student finance applications opening.

Our workplace champions the right of staff to embrace all Afro-hairstyles. We acknowledge that Afro-textured hair is an important part of our Black employees’ racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious identities, and requires specific styling for hair health and maintenance.
