Apprentice Mechanic at BLAKE & SQUIRES LTD
Daily Duties:
- Basic servicing
- Assist senior vehicle technicians with repairs
- Keep workplace and themselves professionally presented and health & safety compliant
- Deal with customers on phone
- Deal with customers face-to-face
- Simple repairs under supervision
- Identify parts needed & order them when reception is busy
- Tyre services
Most of our apprentices go on to work with the company once fully qualified. We encourage employees to pursue further training in areas of their interest eg MOT testing or advanced diagnostics. We have fully digital equipment and platforms to enable us to work on and service the newest models.

- You will attend Weston College South-West Skills Campus one day a week during this apprenticeship to complete your 20% off the job training. You will work on-site for 80% of your apprenticeships as on the job training
- EPA - End point assessment
- After the 36 months, you will have achieved your Motor Vehicle Level 3 qualification
- During the apprenticeship you have an Assessor who will conduct on-site visits and will support you whilst in college, during your off the job training
