Hairdressing, Technical Diploma
On this course, you will learn about cutting ladies hair, colour and lightening, styling and dressing hair, blow-drying and finishing as well as developing your knowledge and understanding of hair and scalp conditions, and health and safety.
You will also learn about client care and consultation, shampooing and conditioning, and promoting and selling your products and services. You will further develop your knowledge and apply the skills you have learned through working in a real-life commercial salon and attending work placements throughout the year. As part of this study programme, you will develop your maths and English skills, attend tutorials and Individual Development (ID).
You will also complete a work placement or extended industry placement. All aspects of your study programme will be discussed at your interview.
