There are plenty of additional sporting activities available through our sports academies and our Body and Mind programme.
Our Students' Union is an active and vibrant student-led team that organises many trips and activities throughout the year. You'll automatically be enrolled into the Students' Union, which means you are eligible for an NUS card, giving you access to hundreds of discounts in high street stores.
Hair and beauty salons
At the Knightstone Campus commercial salon you'll be able to get haircuts and beauty treatments at a discounted rate. Our salons are supervised by lecturers with extensive industry experience.
No two weeks are the same at Weston College! Throughout the year we hold special 'theme weeks' that bring to light topics such as volunteering, mental health, drug and alcohol awareness and sexual health.
Our LibraryPlus service is available at all of our main campuses. It contains books, magazines and newspapers, as well as a number of PCs and Macs. You can borrow equipment such as laptops, cameras and tablets from here, as well as accessing our learning mentor team which will help you get the most out of your studies.
Trips and residentials
Each faculty offers a range of trips, residential activities and work-related experiences to enrich your learning experience and support your skills development in settings outside the College.
School of Motoring
The Weston College School of Motoring is available for all students who want to learn how to drive. It can fit your driving lessons around your timetable, and you'll get free theory tuition and a Weston College discount.
Each year we welcome our new students to the College with a university-style Freshers' Festival, which is packed full of fun activities. Here you can find out more about pursuing your interests and talk to businesses about careers. There will be agencies, charities and community groups at the festival, and you will be able to sign up to a number of activities, clubs and societies.
College award ceremonies
Many of our faculties hold their own awards ceremonies each year, and there are two main College-wide awards ceremonies: the Celebration of Success and the Business and Apprenticeship Awards. These events reward College students who have gone the extra mile or have achieved against all odds (and their families), and often includes a no-expenses-spared gala dinner complete with entertainment - plus plenty of prizes!
If you need a helping hand with any technology on offer at the College you can access a variety of support from the LibraryPlus team and our student-led Tech Genius IT Helpdesk, which is a team of computer students who can give you help and advice about a range of IT issues.
Eating and drinking with us
The Knightstone, Loxton and South West Skills campuses have their own dedicated cafeterias that serve a selection of hot and cold food daily between 8.30am and 2pm. We aim to make our cafeteria prices affordable to all, so prices for the hot meal of the day at these campuses start at £3.20. You will also find a Costa Coffee in our Knightstone and Loxton campuses, and a Starbucks at the Law and Professional Services Academy opposite the Knightstone Campus. The Winter Gardens has a cafe, The Florentine, and Lasseter's Restaurant and Bar - both of which are open to the public.
Weston College aims to provide a safe, supportive and happy learning environment for its students.
To ensure you are able to fulfil your potential and enjoy your time at the College as much as possible, we provide a range of services to support you along the way.
