Veterans Offer

Welcome to Weston College.

We have a strong history of supporting local military units and the Armed Forces community, and we promise to provide veterans, those leaving the armed forces, and their families, training and work opportunities.

If you need any support, our team is here for you. We have an array of options available from re-training courses, to job vacancies at the College; where from experience we know that ex-military candidates have a breadth of aptitude, skills and training which can greatly contribute to the College’s growth and success, plus provide you with a very satisfying career.

We are so proud to have been awarded the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award, for our commitment to helping veterans.

A number of our staff are ex-military employees, and we are seeing them thrive in an education setting. We are also working closely with our employer network to create new opportunities for veterans; from our Fresh Start initiative to Sector Based Work Academies which guarantees interviews with local businesses.

One Message, Different Voices

Our workplace champions the right of staff to embrace all Afro-hairstyles. We acknowledge that Afro-textured hair is an important part of our Black employees’ racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious identities, and requires specific styling for hair health and maintenance. We celebrate Afro-textured hair worn in all styles including, but not limited to, afros, locs, twists, braids, cornrows, fades, hair straightened through the application of heat or chemicals, weaves, wigs, headscarves, and wraps. In this workplace, we recognise and celebrate our colleagues’ identities.
