Level 3
Civil Engineering, Apprenticeship
This apprenticeship provides a paid job opportunity alongside a comprehensive skills development programme, allowing you to gain technical knowledge and practical experience through a combination of on-campus learning and workplace training. This unique combination of theoretical instruction and hands-on application prepares you for a successful future as a civil engineering professional.
One of the significant advantages of choosing a career in civil engineering is the potential for swift entry into the workforce. With an apprenticeship, you not only gain valuable experience but also the opportunity to learn, study, and earn money simultaneously.
Civil engineering plays a crucial role in designing, constructing, and maintaining infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, and water supply systems.
At Weston College, our apprenticeships are led by experienced professionals who possess in-depth knowledge of the field. They provide specialised training, expert guidance, and unparalleled access to local employers, giving you a competitive advantage in the job market. Our focus extends beyond practical skills, as we also develop your employability skills, ensuring that you are equipped with the abilities necessary to thrive in the civil engineering sector.
As part of our Career Excellence Hub, you will have unrivalled access to local employers through work experience, site visits, and masterclasses – allowing you to build relationships with renowned companies in the construction and civil engineering sectors. This support and development will pave the way for your future success.
Our South West Skills Campus provides state-of-the-art training facilities that replicate real-world civil engineering environments. These facilities include well-equipped workshops, surveying equipment, industry-standard software, and specialised laboratories for materials testing and geotechnical analysis. The civil engineering industry offers vast opportunities, and an apprenticeship can be your gateway to a rewarding and well-paid career. You can specialise in areas such as structural engineering, transportation engineering, or water resource management.
