WHAT DOES THIS COURSE INVOLVE
On this programme you will develop your knowledge and understanding of customer service in the hospitality industry, developing your interpersonal skills while learning about basic food preparation and cooking, food safety, food allergies, healthy eating, health and safety, and how to use kitchen equipment. Aspiring baristas will learn how to make wonderful coffee, how to use equipment to make tea, hot chocolate, smoothies, and juices.
ASSESSMENT METHOD
A mixture of live practical assessments and theoretical short answer multiple choice assessments and assignments.
FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES
When you can secure an apprenticeship employer, the work you do on the traineeship will be carried over to your apprenticeship qualification. This makes it an excellent preparation. You could also progress to a full time Level 2 or Level 3 programme - your tutor can advise.

GCSE Grade 2 or above in Maths and English
