This apprenticeship is the perfect start for anyone looking to start a career in the housing and property field. Learning on the job, alongside professionals, is a hugely beneficial way of developing knowledge and skills that will enable you to stand out to employers. Skills that will be essential to successfully fulfilling this role will include great customer service and communication, as well as teamwork, time management and decision making.
This course is part of our Career Excellence Hubs, which brings you closer to industry than ever before. You will hear from people within the industry, who will equip you with the latest skills, to enhance your future career opportunities.
What does the course involve?
This apprenticeship contains very varied work, so no two days will look the same. It is, however, customer-facing, meaning a lot of your time will be spent talking to customers and creating a rapport with them, in order to create and sustain successful tenancies in private and social rented housing sectors.
You will learn about legislation and regulations that professionals need to know, plus important issues within the housing market.
The course will prepare you for a number of potential pathways in the sector, so you will have the opportunity to explore which is best suited to your skills, and which you may wish to pursue as a career.
How will the course be assessed?
Quarterly milestone meetings will be held to track progress and ensure the learner is ready for the end assessment. The learner will complete a portfolio for evidence of meeting required knowledge. The end assessment will consist of a project assessment and an interview.
What future study opportunities and careers are there?
On completion of the apprenticeship, apprentices will be able to apply to the following for membership:
- Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) at Member level.
- ARLA Propertymark at Member grade.
