Law, A Level

A Level Law is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the legal system and to prepare you for future studies and a successful career in the field of law. Throughout this course, you will explore a wide range of legal concepts, principles, and practices, equipping you with essential knowledge and skills to navigate the complexities of the legal landscape.

The course curriculum covers various key areas of law, including criminal law, human rights law, tort law, and legal systems. You'll delve into each of these areas, gaining a deep understanding of the legal theories, principles, and frameworks that underpin them. You'll also learn about the importance of legal ethics, the rule of law, and the impact of legal decisions on society.

As part of your course, you will have the opportunity to take part in the National Bar Mock Trial Competition, competing against other colleges and showcasing your advocacy skills in court. You will receive insights into what it truly means to work in the legal sector by attending talks from local judges, CPS prosecutors, law firms, universities, and legal apprenticeship providers.

Law A Level will not only equip you with a solid foundation of legal knowledge but also develop transferable skills such as critical analysis, logical reasoning, research, and effective communication.
