The ASPECT (Advice, Schools, Progression, Employability, Careers, Transition) team is here to provide information, advice and guidance to all students across the College, including those looking to join a course, and those who are moving on after College; be it into employment or further study.

Marie Beaver - Strategic Lead - School Partnership and Student Progression

Marie manages the ASPECT team, as well as leading on the College’s 14-16 provision.  Marie ensures ASPECT provide a high quality service, as well as making sure the College’s operational relationships with local schools are effective and that all young people in the local area are provided with the required support.

Hamish provides information, advice and guidance (IAG) on progression onto Higher Education, including an extensive tutorial programme, drop in sessions and 1:1s on UCAS and the application process and Student Finance.

Jackie works in the local secondary schools delivering information, advice and guidance on the post 16 options available at Weston College. Jackie also works with Weston College students, delivering careers and progression information, advice and guidance, including through 1:1 appointments, drop in sessions and a tutorial programme.

Dani works with Weston College learners delivering careers and progression information, advice and guidance, including through 1:1 appointments, drop in sessions and a tutorial programme. Dani’s focus is on supporting our learners develop the employability skills that employers are looking for, as well as supporting our learners with accessing opportunities outside of curriculum to engage with employers.

Loxton Campus

Thursday from 8.30am until 5pm in C03.

South West Skills Campus

Tuesdays from 9am until 11am in Student Services.
