Business BTEC is the perfect answer if you’re interested in a career in the business industry, but undecided about which area is best suited to your skills. It is ideal if you perform better in coursework, group work, and presentations. The Business BTEC Extended Diploma is a comprehensive qualification designed to provide a thorough understanding of the business world. You will cover a wide range of subjects, including finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, human resources, and operations management. This will help you choose which area you would like to progress in. With a focus on employability, this course equips you with the necessary practical skills to succeed in various business roles, whether you choose to enter the workforce directly or pursue further education.

WHAT DOES THIS COURSE INVOLVE
This Level 3 Business programme will develop your business acumen and provide you with the skills required in a variety of roles in the sector.
You will cover a range of topics, including marketing, starting up a small business, accounting, recruitment, selection, human resource management, business law, finance, management, events management, international business, customer services, and digital marketing.
As part of this study programme, you will develop your maths and English skills, attend tutorials and Individual Development (ID). You will also complete a 2-week work placement.
All aspects of your study programme will be discussed at your interview.
ASSESSMENT METHOD
This programme has a 100% pass rate and could lead to a variety of jobs in the business sector. You could also enhance your skills by progressing to the degree in Business Management with Sustainability at University Centre Weston.
FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES
You could apply for a related degree at university or follow an apprenticeship route on successful completion. You could also progress to a degrees here at University Centre Weston in:
- Business Management and Sustainability BA (Hons)
- HR Consultant/Partner Apprenticeship You could pursue career opportunities in HR, marketing, or finance.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Five GCSEs at grade 9-4, including maths and English, or a Level 2 programme at merit or distinction.
